What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Clinical hypnotherapy is an evidence-based, complementary therapy that enhances the mind-body connection using imagery and relaxation to guide you into a state of deep focus. It supports your mind in becoming more open to making healthy changes in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is NOT mind control and it is perfectly safe: YOU stay in control the entire time.
Hypnotherapy has been clinically indicated to reduce chronic stress, resolve phobias, manage chronic pain, soothe menopausal symptoms, and alleviate panic and anxiety.
Hypnotherapy can help:
Resolve aversions and phobias that disrupt daily life
Address sleep issues like insomnia, nightmares, and nighttime racing thoughts
Reduce the negative impacts of chronic stress, PTSD, anxiety, and pain
Support management of perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms
Facilitate a long-lasting sense of peace and calm, even when encountering stressors
How Clinical Hypnotherapy works.
Hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation and focused concentration to achieve a state of deep calm where the subconscious mind is most open to positive suggestions. The client and clinician decide together on which symptoms to target and use mental images, relaxation skills, and breathing exercises to achieve a tranquil state of mind.
In this deep, fully relaxed but aware state, we use specific thoughts, language, goals, or mental imagery to help you reframe and shift unwanted thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Hypnotherapy is completely safe, gentle, and does not require re-experiencing or confronting traumatic or distressing content to be effective.
