My physical office is based in Frederick, Maryland, but I’m also licensed in Delaware, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C. I have a blend of in-person and virtual clients.

Prospective clients are encouraged to schedule a 20-minute consultation call so we can discuss your goals for therapy, answer any questions you may have, and see if we’re a good fit. If you decide to continue, I’ll send you a link to my secure client portal, welcome packet, and an invitation to Thrizer (see the Fees & Insurance section for more information). During the initial session we’ll get a brief history, explore what brings you to therapy, and identify the changes that you would most like make.

I support you in deciding what frequency works best for your schedule and will work with you to meet your needs. Generally, I find that my clients prefer to meet every week or every other week. I also believe in preventative mental health care, and some of my established clients enjoy coming once a month to maintain their therapeutic gains.

Yes! Online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for many people. Some modalities, like IFS and clinical hypnotherapy, can be even more effective virtually for some clients. Meeting virtually can also be more convenient and accessible, especially if you have a busy schedule. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, and I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about what to expect from virtual sessions.

Feeling hesitant to share personal details with a stranger is completely natural! Seeking out therapy is courageous and commendable. My therapeutic style is relaxed and focused on helping you feel safe and at ease. You don’t have to share anything you don’t want to, and you have complete control of the entire process. There’s no pressure here: We will always go at your pace and prioritize your goals.
